세월이 유수와 같다는 말이 있지요. 그 말을 실감하는 요즘입니다. 2010년이 되었나 했더니.. 어느새 3월입니다. 봄 같기도 하고 늦겨울 같기도 합니다. 이런 때 일수록 특히 감기 조심하시기 바랍니다.
친구사이는 2월의 시작을 기자회견으로 했습니다. 한국게이인권운동단체 친구사이와 영화사 청년이 함께 제작한 영화[친구사이?] 청소년 관람불가 등급을 취소를 요구하는 행정소송을 내기로 한 날, 그 부당함을 알리기 위해 기자회견을 가졌습니다. 청소년들이 봐야 할 영화임에도 그들의 관람 자체를 영화 [친구사이?]에 대한 청소년 관람불가 결정은 한국 사회에서 동성애에 대한 편견과 무지를 극명하게 보여주는 사례라고 할 수 있습니다. 길고 지루한 시간이겠지만, 추후 제작되는 퀴어영화들과 여전하게도 동성애를 외곡 된 시선으로 바라보는 이들에게 경종을 울리기 위해서도 꼭 승소하겠습니다.
공익변호사 그룹 공감이 주최하는 인권법 캠프에 다녀왔습니다. ‘성소수자와 법의 문제’라는 주제로 교육팀장 가람님께서 강연을, 인권팀장 기즈베님이 영상 촬영을 해주셨습니다. 많은 이들이 가람님과 기즈베님의 미모와 열정에 반했다는 소문이 들리더군요. 좀 더 자주 강연을 다녀서 많은 이들의 오해와 편견와 바꾸어 놓는 가교 역확을 친구사이가 하도록 하겠습니다.
많은 친구들에게 친구사이를 재발견하게 만드는 책 읽기 모임이 시작되었습니다. [책, 봄]이라는 슬로건으로 전인권의 [남자의 탄생]과 아비샤이 마갈릿의 [품위 있는 사회] 두 권을 읽는 시간입니다. 책 읽기모임은 매주 수요일 사무실에서 진행됩니다.
친구사이 16주년 축하하고 새로이 변모하는 친구사이를 후원하는 후원의 밤 [기적의 밤] 행사를 무사히 잘 마쳤습니다. 정말로 많은 분들이 참석과 -물론 후원금도 듬뿍 주셨습니다.- 축하를 해주셨습니다. 이 지면을 빌려 참석해주신 분들에게 다시 한 번 감사의 말씀을 전합니다.
이 외에도 소모임-마린보이, 지_보이스-활동은 계속적으로 이루어지고 있으며, 다양한 연대활동도 벌이고 있습니다. 또한 아름다운재단의 후원으로 벌이고 있는 [게이노래문화육성 프로젝트 씽씽_기획단] 활동도 열심히 하고 있습니다.
