에이즈 치료제 '푸제온'관련 로슈사 규탄성명에 동참해주세요.

안녕하세요.

HIV/AIDS인권연대 나누리+의 권미란입니다.

 

에이즈치료제 '푸제온'은 기존의 에이즈치료제에 내성이 생긴 환자들에게 꼭 필요한 약입니다.

로슈는 2004년에 한국에서 시판허가를 받았지만 보험약가가 마음에 들지않는다며 지금까지 공급을 하지않고 있습니다. 로슈는 ‘돈 안 되면 약 안준다’는 계획 하에 미국, 유럽 등에서만 천문학적인 가격으로 판매하고 있습니다. 한국은 물론 비싼 약값을 댈 수 없는 동남아시아, 아프리카, 라틴아메리카 등의 에이즈환자들은 푸제온을 사용할 수 없습니다. 이에 대해 복지부는 '푸제온을 공급시킬 법, 제도는 없다'며 두손을 들었습니다. 이는 푸제온뿐만아니라 제약회사가 비싼 약값을 요구하며 공급거부 카드를 꺼내들면 복지부는 아무것도 못하겠다는 말입니다. 그래서 백혈병치료제 글리벡이나 스프라이셀의 경우 초국적제약회사가 원하는대로 각각 1년에 3360만원~8410만원(글리벡), 4000만원(스프라이셀)으로 약값을 정해주었습니다.

 

이런 상황에 맞서 푸제온이 필요한 세계 각지에 '싼 값으로 즉각 공급'을 촉구하기위해 국제공동행동을 시작하였습니다.

그 첫 행동으로 로슈를 규탄하는 국제공동성명을 조직하고 있습니다

(그리고 로슈 창립일인 10월 1일 파리에서 시작하여 10월 7일 서울까지 로슈규탄 국제공동행동주간을 준비하고 있습니다. 서울에서는 10월 7일 로슈앞에서 12시간 공동행동을 할 예정입니다. )

 

 

이에 에이즈 환자들의 생명을 협박하는 로슈를 규탄하는 성명에 동참해 줄 것을 요청드립니다. 단체, 개인 누구라도 동참할 수 있으며 naengee@hotmail.com으로 2008년 9월 29일까지 연락을 주시기 바랍니다. 국제공동성명이므로 한글명과 영문명! 모두 기재해주세요.

로슈는 살인을 그만두고 푸제온을 공급하라!

푸제온은 이전 HIV 약제에 내성이 생긴 환자들의 치료에 필수적인 의약품으로서 한국 식약청은 2004년 5월 푸제온을 승인하였다. 그러나 스위스 다국적 제약회사 로슈는 정부와의 약가 협상 실패를 이유로 푸제온 공급을 거부하였다.


로슈는 한국에서 푸제온 약가를 연간 22,000달러를 요구하고 있다. 이 가격은 이미 한국에서 시판되고 있는 HIV 치료제 중 가장 비싼 약제의 두 배에 달하는 가격이다. 에이즈 치료는 병용 요법을 해야 한다는 점을 고려해 보면 환자는 1인당 연간 30,000 달러에서 40,000 달러에 달하는 비용을 지불해야 한다.


로슈는 한국을 포함한 일부 국가에 고가의 약값을 요구함으로써 푸제온 공급을 거부하고 있다. 이는 즉 에이즈 환자들의 푸제온 접근권을 거부하고 있는 것이다.


에이즈 환자들의 의약품 접근권은 대부분의 국가에서 심각한 문제이며 또한 지난 몇 년동안 기존 치료제에 내성이 생긴 환자들이 급격히 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 에이즈 환자들에게 의약품 접근권은 생명을 결정할 수 있는 중요한 문제이다.  


로슈가 푸제온의 가격과 공급에 대해서 취하고 있는 전략은 한국을 포함한 전 세계 에이즈 환자들의 생명을 위협하는 것이고 이것은 인간에 대한 범죄이다.

우리는 에이즈 환자가 있는 곳이라면 전 세계 어디라도 환자들이 접근가능한 가격에 푸제온을 공급할 것을 로슈에 강력히 요구하는 바이다.
