회원님, 후원자님, 그리고 지지자님! 안녕하십니까?
저는 한국게이인권운동단체 친구사이 대표로 활동하고 있는 조남웅입니다.
작년 한 해 보내주신 지지와 후원을 생각하면 한 분, 한 분, 찾아가 인사 드리고 싶지만, 마음뿐이었던 것 같아요. 2014년 한 해 동안, 친구사이가 이룬 크고 작은 성과들은 모두 회원님과 후원자님의 덕분입니다. 이번 기회를 빌려, 다시 한번 감사의 인사를 드립니다.
겨울이라는 마법에 갇혀서, 절대 오지 않을 것 같던 봄 기운이 감도는 2015년의 3월이 되었네요. 지난 2014년을 돌이켜 보면, 참 많은 일들이 있었고, 그 속에 웃음과 눈물이 교차하며 벅찬 한 해를 보냈던 것 같습니다.
작년 <친구사이> 설립 20주년을 맞아, 기록물사업, 친구사이20행사 등을 통해, 친구사이의 현재와 과거를 보았고, <한국 LGBTI 커뮤니티 사회적 욕구조사>라는 거창한 꿈을 현실로 이루기도 했습니다. 혐오세력의 공세 속에서 역사에 없는 서울시청 점거 농성을 펼쳤고, 춤을 추면서 농성을 마치게 된 건, 우리가 상징적으로 보여줄 수 있는 가장 큰 승리였다는 생각이 듭니다. 2014년은 여러가지 의미에서 마침표이자, 또 다른 시작이라는 생각이 듭니다. 과거에도 그랬고, 지금도, 그리고 미래에도, <친구사이>는 이 글을 읽는 회원님들의 지지와 참여로 움직입니다. 계속해서, 눈과 귀를 기울여 주시고, 못하면 못한다고, 잘하면 잘한다고 한마디씩 해주세요.
2014년, <친구사이>와 함께 해주셔서 감사 드리고, 앞으로도 평등한 사회를 향한, 느리지만 힘찬 발걸음에 함께 해주십시오.
