2009년 6월 시애틀 위클리*seattle weekly 리포터 브라이언 밀러*brian miller는 gaychitecture*개커텍쳐라는 단어를 처음 사용했습니다. gay + architecture, 게이의 건축, 게이 커뮤니티를 위한 건축을 뜻하는 단어로 사용한다고 합니다. 앞의 시대에서 볼 수 없었던 새로운 건축의 종류가 나온다는 것은 사회가 이미 상당히 변화한 것을 뜻합니다. 가족도, 학교 친구들도, 모두 규정된 틀에서 벗어나서 봐줄 것을 바라고 있습니다. 이런 변화의 요구를 우리 사회는 얼마나 받아 줄 수 있나요? 건축 수준은 그 사회의 수준을 보여줍니다. 다음 회는 게이와 도시에 관해서 살펴보겠습니다.
그래도 이쁜 사진만 봐도 눈이 호강하네요~ ^ㅇ^
더구나 성소수자를 위한 건물이라니...!
훗날 만들 우리의 LGBT 센터, 퀴어 마을에도 도움 되겠네요.
언어로 공간으로 상존하는 것 역시도 그것에 대해 사회가 얼마나 생각하고 고민하는 바를 알려주는 것 같고..
